Miss Earth 2008 is Miss Philippines!

Karla Paula Henry proved that Filipinos just do not have beauty but also brains as she grabbed the title Miss Earth 2008.

The 8th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, was held on November 9, 2008 at the Clark Expo Amphitheater in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines. Eighty-five delegates arrived from October 19, 2008 in the Philippines. The pageant was broadcasted live via ABS-CBN in the Philippines and to many countries worldwide via Star World, The Filipino Channel and other partner networks.

At the conclusion of the final night of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2007, Jessica Nicole Trisko of Canada crowned her successor Karla Paula Henry of the Philippines. The pageant was hosted by Billy Crawford, Miss Earth 2004 winner Priscilla Meirelles, and Miss Earth Canada 2006 Riza Santos.

Final Question in Miss Earth 2008: "What would you tell US president-elect Barack Obama about the state of the global environment if ever you were to meet him?"

Charice Pempengco, My Idol Eversince

Charice, a 16-year old Filipina diva who rose to popularity through YouTube

Her videos garnered more than 16 million hits. Her first international gain was in South Korea where she was invited to join the competition Star King, a popular Television in SBS. After her jaw-dropping rendition of the Dreamgirls Anthem "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going", Charice gained standing ovations from the Koreans, making her the favorite of the night. The videos of her said performance was then recognized in United States America News where she was then tagged THE QUEEN, in ET Daily Top 10.

Me, Myself and I

Ako po si Christopher Leo Rigor, 19 years of age, kasalukuyang nakatira sa Cebu at nag-aaral ng kursong Nursing sa Asian College of Technology. Ako po ngayon ay nasa 3rd year na po. Kinagagalak kong magkaroon ng bagong libangan na naman, at ito ay ang blogging. Hindi po ako sanay nito pero sa kalaunan alam ko na malalaman ko at maeexplore ang lahat ng tungkol dito. Ako po ay isang mapagmahal na anak at kapatid. Achiever po ako sa mga iilang schools. Nakakalungkot lang po kasi hindi po kami kumpleto. Ako naninirahan sa amin sa Carcar kung saan ako lumaki at nagkaroon ng malay, kung saan pilit na minomold ng iilan kong mga kapamilya. Hindi po kami mayaman pero mayaman kami sa pagmamahal sa isa't isa. Alam ko na masama ang magtanim ng galit pero tao lang din po ako na nahihirapan din. Yes, i am a member of a broken family. Lumaki ako sa Lola Segundina (passed away last February 2006), at kinamulatan kong aking ina. Pero bago ko ilahad lahat. Welcome po sa aking blog. Enjoy po!!
